Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Opsline ("we", "us") is published by [Registered company name], [Street, City, Postal code, Country]. We are the data controller for personal data collected through ops-scale.pages.dev. Privacy questions and rights requests go to privacy@ops-scale.pages.dev.
2. The short version
We run a website with articles on it. We do not sell anything through it, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. Our host records ordinary server logs so the site stays available and secure. If we run advertising measurement, it is switched on only after you consent to it, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever is in your message. We use it to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard access logs for every request: IP address, timestamp, the page requested, HTTP status, referring page and browser user-agent. These exist to keep the site running, to diagnose faults and to detect abuse.
Advertising measurement, only with consent
We advertise this site on third-party platforms, including Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). If advertising measurement is enabled, a pixel or tag may record that you visited a page and may set cookies or similar identifiers. Nothing of that kind loads until you accept it in the cookie notice. If you decline, or ignore the notice, no advertising or analytics identifier is set. Where no such tool is configured, the notice does not appear at all because there is nothing to consent to.
What we never collect
We do not ask for payment card details, government identifiers, health data or any other special category data, and we do not knowingly collect anything from children.
4. Why we process it, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Serving the site and keeping it secure | Server logs | Legitimate interests -- running a website safely |
| Answering your message | Email content | Legitimate interests, or steps prior to a contract |
| Advertising measurement | Pixel/tag identifiers | Consent |
| Meeting legal obligations | Whatever the obligation requires | Legal obligation |
Where we rely on consent you may withdraw it at any time, and doing so does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary storage: we use browser local storage to remember your answer to the cookie notice, so we do not ask again. That entry stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Non-essential cookies are set only after consent, and only by the advertising or analytics providers named in our cookie policy, which lists what each one does and how long it lasts. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.
6. Who else sees your data
- Our hosting and CDN provider, which serves the pages and keeps the access logs described above.
- Our email provider, if you write to us.
- Advertising and analytics platforms, only where you have consented. Those platforms act as independent or joint controllers for the data they collect and their own privacy policies apply in addition to this one.
- Professional advisers, or authorities, where we are legally required to disclose something.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising other than through the consented advertising tools described here. A current list of processors is available on request from privacy@ops-scale.pages.dev.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or the EEA we rely on an adequacy decision where one exists, and otherwise on Standard Contractual Clauses together with the additional safeguards our providers put in place. You can ask us for details at privacy@ops-scale.pages.dev.
8. How long we keep things
- Server logs: typically up to 30 days, longer only where an entry is part of an active security investigation.
- Email correspondence: up to 24 months from the last message, unless it needs to be kept longer for a legal reason.
- Advertising identifiers: for the retention period set by the platform concerned, listed in our cookie policy.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California may additionally request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected, request deletion or correction, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" -- we do neither, and the cookie notice is the opt-out mechanism for advertising identifiers. We will not treat you differently for exercising any right.
To make a request, email privacy@ops-scale.pages.dev. We respond within one month (45 days in California) and may ask a question to confirm we are dealing with the right person. An authorised agent may act for you with written permission. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to your data protection authority -- in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
10. Automated decision-making
We do not carry out automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not build profiles of individual visitors.
11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we set no non-essential cookies without consent, there is nothing to opt out of by default. Where a Global Privacy Control signal is present we treat it as a refusal of consent and do not load advertising or analytics tools.
12. Children
This site is intended for adults running or working in a business. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS, a strict content security policy and no third-party scripts other than any you have consented to. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of personal data we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective control available to a site like this one.
14. Links to other sites
Articles may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply once you leave ops-scale.pages.dev.
15. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days. This version is effective 29 August 2026.
